Begining an End

Book Antiqua – (It’s Christmas and everybody is preparing for Jesus’ birthday in the upcomming days. I think, I might write on that, but I’m going to have to start in the future, tie it in with the present, bring us all the way to the past, and mention all sorts of things that happened in-between. Besides, if I do that, it’ll be forward in reverse order.)

Revelation 22:17-21, “17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. 18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
      Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.”

That is how the Bible ends, with a promise of Jesus’ return. Everytime His return is referred to, it is always soon. When is Jesus comming? Soon. How is Jesus to return?

Revelation 19:11-16, ” 11I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. “

Jesus is to return when heaven stands open, as the rider on a white horse, as Faithful and True as the Word of God, and leading an army as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In the between time from His return and Amen, The Millenial Kingdom is established. Those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not recieved his mark on their foreheads or their hands came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years and served as priests of God. After that, Judgement.

Revelation 20: 11-15, “11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Left Behind and other media describes what precedes these events, seven years we call the Tribulation, which according to many is after the Rapture, an event in which every Christian is taken off of the earth. The Tribulation is a time in which one ruler will come to power over the world. Those who come to Christ in this time will have their work cut out for them. There is also the Lamb’s Book of Life. If your name is found therein, then you will be allowed to enter New Jerusalem described in Revelation 21. All of this has yet to be, but one thing is for certain, it’s soon.
